I came across across this touching, sad video made 6 years ago.  It's a video of House's darker side (that doesn't describe it well), to the tune of Massive Attack's 'Teardrop'.  Unfortunately, embedding is disabled, so I can only post the link:

If you're in the mood for some old-school House, I suggest you take a look.

Thank you for all of the great breakfast suggestions!  Wait until you see what I've come up with.

It's more appropriate that I ask these questions on my personal LJ, so the rest will be moved here, perhaps with a link to an appropriate comm (NOT [ profile] fanficrants

My question is sort of complicated. At the beginning and through most of the first half of The Princess And The Peeved, House has lost Wilson. Wilson does not exist in this world. (I don't want to get into the whole Johanna thing just now.) Reading the whole thing over, House gets pretty wooby. It didn't seem like that when I was posting one chapter at a time, but you put it altogether, he cries softly a lot.

Be that as it may, I'd like your input on how House would react to completely losing the most important person in his life. In one scene, he is alone and despairing that Wilson is gone, that his world is gone, if he wanted to send a postcard there's nowhere to send it to, that his entire life is gone. To keep himself from getting overly emotional, he smashes his cane down on his foot.

He cries in "Wilson's Heart", but almost never after that. Do you think he would cry? Just get drunk? Take drugs? The latter two would be a short-term solution, but it is MONTHS before Wilson comes into the story.

What do you think?

I happened to look at a blog someone recommended to me about silent movies.  Turned out it was ended a few  years ago, and very graciously, too.  I haven't written there since September, and I keep wanting to start a public blog about me and my activities.  So that's what I'm going to do.  It won't have much to do with what I write here.  There might be some crossover.

Very sad...but I got a lot out of it while it was going.

Of course I'm feeling very sad, but I've been feeling sad about it a long time.  I'm relieved that I ended it publicly.

However, I will still be Her on Twitter.  How else will I be able to make such scabrous jokes??

cuddyclothes: (House Wilson Singing)
I was walking my dog in the pouring rain this morning, thinking about last night's episode, and starting singing this song to Fletcher.  Then it struck me how perfectly it describes the H/W relationship.

You and I have memories
longer than the road that stretches far ahead
Two of us burning matches, lighting matches
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home

There are numerous versions on YouTube, including a really rocking-out version for which there is no video (there's a video, but it's only 1 minute long).

This is the version from the original album, Let It Be, not the newer version, Let It Be: Naked. I like the Naked version, but there are no decent videos I could find. God, I miss John Lennon. DX
